Micromuse Netcool/NeuSecure is a security information management (SIM) platform that stores security data in a MySQL database.

Micromuse Netcool/NeuSecure is prone to a cleartext-password vulnerability. Gaining access to the passwords could allow an attacker to fully compromise the application. The problem is that the application stores the passwords in cleartext in the '/etc/neusecure.conf' configuration file.

NeuSecure 3.0.236-1 was reported vulnerable. Other versions may also be affected.
