Title: PHPDocumentor Forum Lib Variable Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

phpDocumentor is a Web based application that is used to create professional documentation from PHP source code.

phpDocumentor is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'FORUM[LIB]' parameter of the 'bug-559668.php' script.

An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may facilitate the theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.

Affected Products:

  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.2.0
  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.2.1
  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.2.2
  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.2.3
  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.3.0 RC3
  • phpDocumentor phpDocumentor 1.3.0 RC4
