Title: Hitachi Business Logic Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Hitachi Business Logic is prone to multiple input validation vulnerabilities. These issues can lead to SQL injection, cross-site scripting and HTTP response splitting attacks.

An attacker may leverage the cross-site scripting issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may facilitate the theft of cookie-based authentication credentials as well as other attacks.

The SQL injection vulnerability could permit remote attackers to pass malicious input to database queries, resulting in modification of query logic or other attacks. Successful exploitation could result in a compromise of the application, disclosure or modification of data, or may permit an attacker to exploit vulnerabilities in the underlying database implementation.

A remote attacker may exploit the HTTP response splitting vulnerability to influence or misrepresent how Web content is served, cached or interpreted. This could aid in various attacks that attempt to entice client users into a false sense of trust.

Hitachi Business Logic - Container versions 1-00 to 2-06 for Windows and Business Logic - Container versions 1-01 through 2-00 for AIX are vulnerable to these issues.

As specific details about these issues are not currently available, further information cannot be provided. This BID will be updated when more details are available.
