Title: PHPMyChat Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
phpMyChat is a web-based chat application written in PHP.
phpMyChat is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. Specifically, it fails to properly sanitize the following scripts and parameters:
'start_page.css.php' : 'medium'
'style.css.php' : 'medium'
'users_popupL.php' : From'
An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
phpMyChat 0.14.5 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- Nicholas Hoizey phpMyChat 0.14.5
- phpMyChat phpMyChat 0.14.6
