phpWebThings is prone to an SQL injection vulnerability.
This issue exists in the 'download.php' script and affects the 'file' URI parameter. Data passed to this parameter is not properly escaped or sanitized of SQL syntax, allowing a remote user to influence the structure and logic of an SQL query that is made by the application.
It is likely that the issue could compromise the software. Depending on the database implementation and the nature of the affected query, it may also be possible to gain unauthorized access to the database. Unauthorized database access may let the attacker view or modify data in the database.
