Title: Emefa Guestbook Multiple HTML Injection Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Emefa Guestbook is a Web based guestbook application implemented in ASP.
Emefa Guestbook is prone to multiple HTML injection vulnerabilities. These issues are due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content. Specifically these issues affect the 'name', 'location' , 'email' and 'message' parameters of 'sign.asp'.
Attacker-supplied HTML and script code would be executed in the context of the affected Web site, potentially allowing for theft of cookie-based authentication credentials. An attacker could also exploit this issue to control how the site is rendered to the user; other attacks are also possible.
Affected Products:
- Emefa Guestbook Emefa Guestbook 1.2.0
