Description:
Adobe Acrobat Reader is an application designed for reading Portable Document Format (PDF) files. It is freely available for Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS and Unix and Unix variants.
It is reported that the Adobe Acrobat Reader ActiveX control is prone to information disclosure vulnerability. Reports indicate that the Adobe Acrobat Reader ActiveX control '.LoadFile()' function, may be employed to disclose the existence of a target file.
Information that is harvested by leveraging this vulnerability may be used to aid in further attacks.
This vulnerability is reported to affect Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7.0 and prior versions.
