Title: ZPanel Multiple SQL Injection and File Include Vulnerabilities
Severity: HIGH
Description:
ZPanel is a hosting control interface developed for both Windows and Linux hosts.
ZPanel is reportedly affected by multiple input validation vulnerabilities.
ZPanel is affected by multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities. These issues are due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in SQL queries. These issues are reported to affect the 'uname' parameter of 'index.php' and the 'page' parameter of 'zpanel.php'.
These vulnerabilities could permit remote attackers to pass malicious input to database queries, resulting in modification of query logic or other attacks.
Successful exploitation could result in a compromise of the application, disclosure or modification of data, or may permit an attacker to exploit vulnerabilities in the underlying database implementation.
Reportedly it is possible to retrieve a list of user passwords through exploitation of the 'index.php' SQL injection vulnerability. In ZPanel versions 2.5beta9 and later the list would consist of MD5 hashes of the passwords, earlier versions stored passwords in plaintext.
The SQL injection vulnerabilities are reported to affect ZPanel versions 2 and 2.5beta; other versions may also be affected.
ZPanel is also affected by remote and local file inclusion vulnerabilities. These issues are due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
The local file inclusion vulnerability is reported to affect ZPanel versions 2 and 2.5beta. Specifically the 'page' parameter of 'zpanel.php'. ZPanel versions prior to 2.5beta are reported to be able to include remote files as well.
Remote attackers could potentially exploit this issue to include a remote or local malicious PHP script, which may be executed in the context of the Web server hosting the vulnerable software.

- ZPanel ZPanel 2.5.0 beta
