Title: PHPLinks Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

PHPLinks is a "Link Farm" script implemented in PHP.

PHPLinks is reported prone to multiple input validation vulnerabilities.

A file include vulnerability is reported to affect the 'index.php' script of PHPLinks. The issue is likely due to a lack of sufficient sanitization of data passed to the 'index.php' script as a value for the 'show' URI parameter. It is reported that a path to a remote PHP file can be passed as a value for the 'show' parameter. This may allow an attacker to include and execute arbitrary PHP scripts. Code execution will occur in the context of the web server process that is hosting the vulnerable script.

SQL injection issues are reported to exist in the application as well. These issues affect the 'ID' parameter of all scripts. Due to this, attackers may supply malicious parameters to manipulate the structure and logic of SQL queries. This may permit unauthorized operations to be performed on the underlying database. This issue may be exploited to cause sensitive information to be disclosed to a remote attacker.
