Title: Jigunet TwinFTP Server Directory Traversal Vulnerability

Description:

Jigunet TwinFTP Server is a Microsoft Windows FTP server application.

It is reported that TwinFTP Server is susceptible to a directory traversal vulnerability.

This vulnerability presents itself when certain arguments for FTP commands passed to the FTP server contain '../' directory traversal characters. It is reported that the CWD, STOR and RETR commands are affected by this vulnerability.

This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to read and write files outside of the FTP document root directory. An attacker may read and write files with the privileges of the FTP server process.

An attacker may retrieve or overwrite sensitive files on the hosting computer, potentially aiding them in further system compromise.

TwinFTP Enterprise and Standard version 1.0.3 R2 is reported susceptible to this vulnerability. Other versions may also be affected.
