What new courseware and certifications have been posted to the Fast Track web portal?
On September 18, 2009, Juniper released the new JUNOS Security Certification Track exams and posted all related course material on the Fast Track portal.

What do the new courses and certifications cover?
The Introduction to JUNOS Software , JUNOS Routing Essential , and Troubleshooting JUNOS Products courses and associated certification allow you to stay current with our routing features on our SRX Series platforms. The new JUNOS for Security Platforms course and associated certification keep you up-to-date on the security features of our SRX Series platforms.
If I already have a JNCIA-ER and/or a JNCIS-ER, do I have to take the JNCIA-JUNOS exam?
No, if you have an existing JNCIA-ER or JNCIS-ER certification, these new courses and certifications are not required. However, if you're just beginning the process of becoming JUNOS certified, we highly recommend that you start with the introductory courses associated with the JNCIA-JUNOS certification.
Does the JNCIS-SEC exam replace an existing exam?
Yes, the new JNCIS-SEC certification replaces the existing JNCIS-ES exam, which will be retired on November 1, 2009. The last day to take the JNCIS-ES pre-assessment exam on the Fast Track portal is September 17, 2009. The last day to take the JNCIS-ES live exam at a Prometric testing center is November 1, 2009. After these dates, you will be required to take the new certification exams.

How long will the Fast Track Program be offering free certification exams?
The program has been extended through December 31, 2009, but you must act quickly to earn a 100% discounted voucher — the 100% discount offer ends on October 9, 2009, at 5 p.m. Pacific time.
How long is my 100% off voucher valid?
100% discount vouchers earned on or before October 9, 2009, will expire November 30, 2009. Register and take your exam before the expiration date. Regardless of your voucher expiration date, on December 1, 2009, all vouchers will revert back to the 50% exam discount level.
How many times am I allowed to take the pre-assessment exams to earn a discounted voucher?
You are allowed to take the pre-assessment exam as many times as you need to achieve a passing score of 70% in order o receive a voucher for the live exam.
How many vouchers can I receive through the program?
You can earn one voucher per exam. Potentially, you can earn 5 discounted certification exam vouchers.
How can I get the training materials for the test?
Everything you need to you help you through the program, including step-by-step instructions, is located in the Fast Track Portal under Fast Track Certification Program.
Can Juniper Networks employees and partners take advantage of this program?
Yes, this program is open to anyone interested in learning more about Juniper Networks.
Do you have to be a Cisco Certified Professional to take advantage of this program?
Not any longer. Anyone with technical networking certifications can take advantage of, and benefit from, this program.
How can I register for the JNCIA-ER, JNCIS-ER, JNCIA-JUNOS, JNCIS-SEC, and JNCIA-EX live exams?

Three of our Juniper Networks Authorized Education Centers (JNAECs) provide you with extra hands-on experience through the Fast Track Program Open Lab Time for a fixed hourly fee. Specifically, you can gain extra experience with the following JNAECs:
How long are Juniper certifications valid?
Certifications are valid for 2 years. You can recertify and extend a certification for an additional 2 years by passing the same certification exam or a higher level exam.
What is the CertManager?
This is a credential management system exclusively for Juniper Certification holders. It allows you to manage your certification progress and personal information, order replacement certifications, download certification logos, and more: http://www.juniper.net/us/en/training/certification/certmanager/
I passed the pre-assessment exam and the live exam at Prometric. Why can't I activate my account in the CertManager?
If you recently passed your exam, it will take a few days for Prometric to send us your exam information. You will need to wait for your account to be created before you can create a log-in in CertManager. Please try again soon.
How long does it take to receive the official certificate after I pass the certification exam at Prometric?
Your certificate should arrive in the mail 4-6 weeks after it has been processed.
