WLA422는 DoS 공격 탐지는 물론, 악의적인 움직임이나 침입을 탐지하는 데 있어서 핵심적인 역할을 수행합니다. 또한 모바일 클라이언트들에게 무선 연결을 제공하면서 동시에 액티브802.11 밴드, 채널, VLAN들을 스캔하는 ActiveScan 기능을 제공합니다. 아울러 SentryScan 기능은 WLA422가 Sentry로서 무중단 스캐닝을 제공할 수 있도록 해줍니다.
