EX8200 라인 모듈형 이더넷 스위치는 고집적 10GbE 데이터센터, 캠퍼스 어그리게이션, 코어 네트워크에 적합한 하이 퍼포먼스 고가용성 플랫폼입니다.
EX8200은 두 가지 섀시 옵션으로 제공됩니다.
- EX8208 이더넷 스위치는 14 RU 섀시 내에 8개의 전용 슬롯이 있습니다. 슬롯 당 최대 320 Gbps, 모든 사이즈의 패킷에 대해 초 당 9억6천만 패킷의 유선속도 포워딩 퍼포먼스를 제공합니다. 패시브 백플레인이 향후 6.2 Tbps까지 확장을 지원하며, 장차 100GbE 구축을 위한 빌트인 마이그레이션 패스를 제공합니다.
- EX8216 이더넷 스위치는 21 RU 섀시 내에 16개의 라인카드 전용 슬롯이 있습니다. 초당 1십9억2천만 패킷을 포워딩 합니다. 또한 EX8208과 마찬가지로 향후 100GbE 환경을 지원할 수 있는 빌트인 마이그레이션 패스를 제공합니다.
2종의 EX8200 스위치 모두 동일한 라인카드를 사용하며 10/100/1000BASE-T, 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X, 10GbE 인터페이스를 제공합니다. 풀 컨피규레이션된 EX8208 한 대는 유선속도로 384개의 GbE 포트 또는 64개의 10GbE 포트를 지원하거나, 또는 공유 대역폭 애플리케이션들 내에서 320개의 10GbE 포트를 지원할 수 있습니다. 풀 컨피규레이션된 EX8216은 그 두배에 해당하는 숫자를 지원합니다. 이는 업계에서 가장 높은 10GbE 포트 집적도입니다.
42 유닛 랙 하나에 EX8208을 세 대, EX8216을 두 대까지 집어넣을 수 있습니다. 따라서 랙 하나 당 256개의 유선속도 또는 1,280개의 공유 대역폭 10GbE 포트를 제공할 수 있습니다.
EX8200은 또한 서로 연결된 여러 스위치들이 하나의 로지컬한 장치처럼 작동되도록 하는 주니퍼 네트웍스의 독보적인 버추얼 섀시(Virtual Chassis) 기술을 지원합니다. 콜랩스드 어그리게이션(collapsed aggregation) 또는 코어 레이어 솔루션으로 구축된 EX8200 버추얼 섀시 컨피규레이션은 액세스 스위치, 라우터, 서비스 레이어 장비들을 표준기반 이더넷 LAG들을 사용하여 상호연결하는 하나의 네트워크 패브릭을 만들어 냅니다.
