Juniper Networks has geared up to tap the evolving software-defined networks (SDN) market, it has announced its new SDN strategy which comprises of six principles. Juniper's SDN strategy will enable companies to accelerate the design and delivery of new services, lower the cost of network operation, and provide a clear path to implementation. The company has also introduced Juniper Software Advantage, a new software licensing and maintenance model that enables customers to exploit software value over time.

Along with a host of announcements related to its software-defined networking (SDN) strategy, Juniper has made a number of updates to its Partner Advantage program, including new incentives specific to cloud, services and distribution. Partner Advantage was the re-tooled version of Juniper's long-running J-Partner program, first announced at Juniper's Global Partner Conference (GPC) a year ago. At this year's GPC, which kicked off in Las Vegas on Monday, Juniper added several new elements, including Advantage Services, which covers support and professional services capabilities, and Advantage Cloud, which segments and rewards partners' cloud capabilities.
