The Problem
Government agencies and departments around the globe are rapidly converging voice, data, and video services onto a common IP infrastructure to take advantage of the efficiency and cost savings of a single infrastructure. However, non-IP applications will be used for several more years because of the large installed base of circuit-based equipment and infrastructure in government and military networks. Many organizations will continue to maintain parallel networks of circuit-based and packet-based traffic to help meet mission-critical requirements for both military and civilian personnel.

Juniper Networks CTP Series Circuit to Packet Platforms provide the advanced technology and features required to reliably transport TDM and other circuit-based applications across next-generation IP networks. The CTP Series has the flexibility, performance, and reliability required for circuit applications. The CTP Series technology includes software circuit provisioning, a scalable product family, an advanced clocking "toolkit", and a Web interface for fast and easy provisioning, troubleshooting, and monitoring of the circuits.
