Kevin Johnson joined Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors in September 2008, after several years at IBM and more than 16 years at Microsoft Corporation. Johnson and his team are focused on transforming the experience and economics of networking for customers through an ecosystem of innovation built on powerful, integrated software platforms. Under his leadership, Juniper has achieved record revenues while delivering breakthrough innovations to customers. During his tenure, Juniper has built the strongest, most robust portfolio in the company’s history. Johnson joined Juniper from Microsoft, where he held a range of executive assignments, including president of the Platforms and Services Division, the company's largest division responsible for the Windows and online services businesses. He began his career at IBM, working in the company's systems integration and consulting business. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Mexico State University and has served on the boards of non-profits focused on technology and women's career advancement. He was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC). He is also a board member of Starbucks Coffee Company. |
