Odyssey Access Client FIPS Edition

Odyssey Access Client FIPS Edition supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP. OAC FE requires a modified driver for the wireless adapter in order to run in FIPS mode. Juniper Networks has made such a driver available for the Atheros 5000 family of chipsets, which is used in dozens of wireless adapters. Juniper Networks is in the process of verifying compatibility with these adapters, and we have completed verification of the following:

  • Cisco: Aironet CB21 a/b/g Wireless CardBus Adapter
  • Netgear: WAG511 802.11a/b/g Dual Band PC Card
  • 3Com: 3CRPAG175B Wireless 802.11 a/b/g PC card with Xjack antenna

Please check with your sales representative for the latest list of verified adapters.

Password Amplifier

Password Amplifier takes your ordinary RADIUS shared secret and hashes it over a million times, to produce a seemingly random 16-character amplified secret. Just copy-and-paste the amplified shared secret into your RADIUS devices. You can forget the amplified shared secret; you can recreate it at any time from the original.

Odyssey Certificate Authority / Requester

Odyssey Certificate Authority lets you automatically configure Odyssey Access Server with the X.509 certificate it requires to set up the strongest 802.1X-based security. With Odyssey Certificate Authority, you can ensure the security of your wireless LAN or 802.X-based wired LAN easily and with confidence.

Odyssey Certificate Authority lets you create a self-signed root certificate, or install an intermediate certificate obtained from an external authority. Now you are ready to issue server certificates to Odyssey Access Server.

You can then run Odyssey Certificate Requester right from your RADIUS server to request a certificate from Odyssey Certificate Authority. Once the request is authorized, you can click to install it for use by Steel-Belted Radius.
