Juniper Networks Quality Management System (J-QMS) allows us to systematically measure, analyze, and review the objectives that are critical to our commitment to quality. J-QMS works across functions to solve issues and to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
Our quality policy encompasses the following fundamental values:
J-QMS has been registered by a third-party certification body against ISO 9000 and TL 9000. TL 9000, the broader of the two standards, is an internationally recognized set of practices and controls. It's frequently listed as a contractual requirement by our customers, particularly by the major service providers.
The stated scope of the Juniper Networks registration to TL 9000 (valid until April 2013) is the "design, development, provisioning and support of core, edge, and access IP routers/Ethernet switches and firewall VPN devices (M, MX, T, E, SRX, SSG, J and EX series products) running Junos, JunosE, or ScreenOS operating systems."
This means that all of our internal processes within the applicable product groups and global business groups have been audited to ensure that they satisfy both our internal business needs as well as the TL 9000 requirements. It also means that we have implemented these detailed processes with a level of compliance considered acceptable to achieve and maintain certification.
Having these proven controls, checks, and balances in place ensures that we can meet our customers' requirements and expectations for developing, delivering, and supporting all products and services. And, because expectations inevitably increase over time, the standard also specifies how continual improvement targets for process predictability and product performance should be met, as well as ensuring we have root cause analysis and corrective action processes to realign ourselves.
